I've spent my career in animal science and education. As a sitting Dean and higher-ed senior leader, and previously as Professor and Department Chair of Animal & Veterinary Science at Cal Poly Pomona, I've guided hundreds of students through some of the most competitive admissions processes in higher education, including veterinary school. My career spans more than 20 years in animal science and higher-ed senior leadership. Across my leadership roles, I've also raised more than $10 million in funding for academic programs, scholarships, and facilities that directly support students.

What I kept seeing, year after year, was talented students getting tripped up not by their academics or passion, but by the process. They didn't know which prerequisites each school required, how to write a personal statement that actually sounded like them, or how to think strategically about where to apply. That's the gap I built PreVet Advisor to close.

PreVet Advisor combines my 20+ years of advising experience with AI, so every pre-vet student can access expert guidance, not just the ones lucky enough to have an advisor like me at their school. The platform covers everything from school comparison and prerequisite tracking to personal statement feedback and strategic planning.

Outside of work, I'm usually in the yard, planning the next trip, or spending time with my wife, our dogs, and, yes, a pot-bellied pig. Cooper, my yellow Lab, even lent his name to our AI advisor. It felt right.
